Experience
A tutor since I was in school myself, I love helping others learn and seeing when they realize they understand what they're studying. I've always been intrigued by mathematics and the rules that lead to a solution. Its beauty and complexity astound me. I was the big brother in my family, so I understand how essential it is to be patient with younger students. I'm always patient as a tutor and will explore creative teaching methods if I have to. For each student, I'll find the best way to accommodate their academic needs and learning style.I can help students with algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and 9th grade reading as well as prepare for the ACT, SAT, or GRE.In 2015, I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I was part of the competitive Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars program, and studied at the Piedmont Governor's School for Mathematics, Science, & Technology. These programs take just a small number of the top percentile applicants so I was honored to be accepted and to succeed in them. Now I reside in Charlottesville, Virginia. I like singing, theater, reading, and soccer when I am not working or tutoring.
